There are about 36 species of seahorse.

Their genus name, "Hippocampus,” is from the Greek words hippos meaning “HORSE” and kampos “sea monster”.

SeaHorses eyes move independently of one another.

The smallest SeaHorses are less than an inch long, while the biggest can be over a foot long.
