It is amazing to know that whales and dolphins are actually the same ordos. If we wonder the look of dolphins, we will not think about their killer side. However, whales have this side. They could be the killer whales. Some people will not realize the reason behind this name. Why did they call as killer whales? Are they the top predator?

Orcas or killer whales are adaptable, intelligent, and they are able to communicate and coordinate their hunting tactics. They are fast swimmers although they look very heavy. Therefore, they are categorized as generalist eaters. They need to learn their family diets first and finally switch their diets. Yes, they are killers because when they are hungry, they have to kill a thing and finally consume it.

Killer whales are like guards. They keep opening their eyes because they should decide their time to breath and keep the environment. Staying conscious is what they have to do because if they go to the deep unconscious sleep, they will stop breathing and go down. They should divide the task to their brain, so they could sleep and breath at the same time. Humans cannot do this, so do not try it because it is impossible.

To anticipate their killer side, you can check their eyes. They will close one eye if they are sleeping, but sure they will not have a fast response to attack you when they are sleeping. We call it unihemispheric sleep. They have only one brain hemisphere sleeps at a time. Well, don’t you curious about their colour? They are black and white, just like a dolphin.
