How to Care A Dog, A Beginner Guide

Apart from being known as loyal pets, dogs are also great house keepers. Many believe that raising a dog can relieve stress and reduce feelings of loneliness. Having a dog as a pet can even be used as pride because besides being cute, this one animal is also smart. However, before you take them as a pet, you have to take a look on how to care them. Dogs are just another creature like us, they need love and care. You can’t just give them food and home, but you should teach them too.

Dogs are the most popular animals around the world. The types also vary. Their body shapes vary from the smallest the size of a tote bag to the largest, up to like the size of a human! In addition there are dogs that have thick hair and some are thin. As a dog lover who has never raised this animal before, it may be confused about how to properly care for a dog. But don't worry, here are some ways to take good care of your beloved pet:

-Dog foods
To care for a dog, you need to know dog foods such as salty foods, chocolate and eggs. Do not give your dog these foods because it will affect their fur. If you want to provide meat or another source of animal protein, do so without added seasoning.
Even better, if you give your dog more plant foods which are rich in fiber such as boiled vegetables, carrots and sweet potatoes and plant-based dog food (vegetarian), because besides helping healthy digestion, plant-based dog food is also healthy for their skin and coat. It is important to always give them nutritious foods.

-Bathe at least twice a month
Another good treatment to do is to bathe your dog at least twice a month. To bathe your dog, you can use dog shampoo that is widely sold in supermarkets or in pet shops. But don't use any shampoo, because any shampoo is not good for their skin and hair. Bathe your dog with warm water. After bathing, dry your dog using a hairdryer and a towel. You should take a note that you also need to train them for bathing because not all dogs are okay with bathing.

-Train your dog
Train your dog patiently. Just like human puppies, dogs are not born trained and disciplined. If you regularly train and discipline your dog, he will begin to see you not only as a trainer but as his closest friend. Pet training is also a very effective activity for bonding with your dog.
Things you can do to train your dog are throwing dirt in the litter box, which contains sand specifically for collecting animal waste, urinating outside the house, playing catch balls and so on.

Those are some basic information about dog care for those of you who are still new to caring for dog pets. Hopefully the information above can make it easier for you to care for your favorite dog!
